This month, The Lotus Cancer Initiative Inc. shines a light on gynecological cancers and the importance of prevention, early detection, treatment, and support.

Let’s talk about cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer is largely preventable. Persistent infection with high-risk HPV (human papillomavirus) is the main cause, and regular screening can identify changes before they become cancer.

Protect yourself:
Get vaccinated against HPV
Keep up with recommended cervical cancer screening ( Pap smears, HPV testing)
Don’t ignore unusual symptoms
Follow up promptly when screening results are abnormal
Encourage the women in your life to prioritize their health
