WORLD HPV DAY – MARCH 4

HPV is common.
Cervical cancer and other HPV related cancers are is preventable.
And prevention starts with us.

Did you know?

8 out of 10 people will get HPV at some point in their lives.
HPV causes cervical cancer and several other cancers.
The HPV vaccine is SAFE, EFFECTIVE, and lifesaving.
Boys AND girls should be vaccinated between ages 9–14., but persons until the ages until 45 years can receive the vaccines.

At The Lotus Cancer Initiative Inc., we believe prevention is powerful. No one should suffer from a cancer we have the tools to prevent.

This World HPV Day, we urge parents in Guyana:
Check your child’s vaccine status.
Talk to your healthcare provider.
Encourage cervical cancer screening for women 21 years and older.

Together, we can stop HPV.
Together, we can prevent cervical cancer.
Together, we can save lives.
