Dr Bachan is a physician and public health specialist with 15 years of experience and advanced training from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
She has extensive expertise in monitoring and evaluation, project management, policy development, and program implementation, with a proven track record of strengthening health systems in lower- and middle-income countries.
As the former Director of Regional Health Services in Guyana, she successfully led complex public health initiatives, combining strategic planning, resource allocation, and team coordination to deliver impactful results on time and within budget.
She has also served as principal investigator on multiple projects, applying her in-depth knowledge of research methodologies and ethical considerations to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Dr. Bachan’s strengths include designing and implementing frameworks to measure health interventions, enhancing health services through innovative solutions, and evaluating sustainability across communicable and non-communicable disease programs.
She is an Associate Professor at Texila American University, where she lectures in Public Health at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, preparing the next generation of public health leaders.
